This 1977 Monaco was found in Sacramento and then taken to China Lake, CA, where I purchased it from the owner in September, 2004. This was an original CHP car, number 8978, a slick top unit with single antenna. |

I bought this car from PCOOA.com member Joe Angelino in May, 2004. It was an original Texas car that had changed hands several times, making it all the way to NJ before Joe bought it and took it to NY. In May, I flew to NY and picked up the car, driving it all the way back to Dallas where I began the restoration. Not wanting to deviate from its original paint job which had already been changed once, I repainted this Fury beige. Originally, I was going to clone an Arizona or Texas Sheriff's car but was then convinced to recreate an Illinois State Police unit. This car went to a new owner in California in October, 2006 |
